Report Templates
Access from Firm Settings > Report Templates in the sidebar. Create and manage templates used to generate assessment deliverables.
Report Types
| Type | Typical Use |
|---|---|
| Audit Opinion | Formal opinion report (SOC 2, ISO 27001 certification) |
| Management Letter | Detailed findings and recommendations for client leadership |
| Gap Assessment | Pre-certification readiness findings and recommendations |
| Executive Summary | High-level engagement results for client leadership |
| Custom | Firm-defined report format for non-standard deliverables |
Report Generation
From the Report tab within an assessment workspace, select a template and generate a report. The report engine pulls data directly from the workspace:
- Clauses tested and their conformity status
- Evidence collected and reviewed
- Findings recorded with severity and recommendations
- Management responses from the client
- Assessment metadata (dates, team, framework, scope)
AI-assisted section generation is available to help draft narrative sections based on assessment data and linked evidence.
For multi-framework assessments, ISO-family frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001 + ISO 27701) are combined into a single report, while non-ISO frameworks each produce their own report.
Report Review Workflow
Reports follow a review lifecycle:
DRAFT --> IN REVIEW --> APPROVED --> FINAL
\--> REVISION REQUESTED --> REVISED --> IN REVIEW
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Report created, being authored |
| In Review | Submitted to the designated reviewer |
| Revision Requested | Reviewer has requested changes |
| Revised | Author has addressed revision requests |
| Approved | Reviewer has approved the report |
| Final | Report finalized and locked for delivery |
Reports support versioning. Each finalized version is stored as DOCX/PDF with a version number, creating an audit trail of delivered reports.
Creating Custom Templates
Report templates support:
- Section ordering and visibility toggles
- Custom header/footer content
- Firm branding integration (logo, colors, contact info)
- Framework-specific section layouts
Portal Appearance
Both the Client Portal and Auditor Portal reflect your firm branding:
- Client Portal -- Clients see your firm's logo and colors when they log in to upload evidence and respond to findings
- Auditor Portal -- Auditors (including contract/remote team members) see firm branding when accessing their assessment workspace
This creates a consistent, professional experience across all touchpoints of an engagement.
